| What are the physical demands of the essential functions of the job? Job analysis, i.e. the weighing and measuring of the actual forces necessary to perform the job. What size, what shape, how many, how far, how often? |  | Is there a better way to perform a problematic job function? Perhaps there is a better tool or machine, a better designed tool or machine that can make a job less demanding and/or safer. If there is simply no other reasonable way to perform a job task, then it is important to make sure that those that are hired for that job are safe and able to perform it. | Good safety is training! It is important to educate both workers and management regarding safety issues and safety policy. Equally important is safety enforcement. |
